Monat, a Professional Opinion

What is Monat? I'm sure you've all heard of it by now, and I'm sure you've heard numerous different opinons on it, and thats fine, but here's a Professional Hairdressers opinion, on a product that has taken over the Hair and Beauty Industry. Side note, different opinions are always welcome, but if selling Monat is somebodies side hustle, please don't knock it.

"We are Modern Nature".

That's what it says on Monat Globals website. Monat is an ALL NATURAL product. Which means there are no toxic chemicals in their products. What counts as toxic chemicals? Glad you ask, Monat products have, NO sulfates, parabens, harsh salt systems, phthalates, PEG, DEA/MEA, harsh colors or harmful fragrances. Now go to your shower, turn over your bottles of shampoo and conditioner, and read the ingredients list.

"But Monat is an MLM".

You are absolutely correct. This is the number one thing I hear from people, when it comes to purchases Monat. Want to know the best part? YOU DON'T HAVE TO SELL! Cue the choir singing. That's right, you don't have to sell a single product, you can just buy to use it. By now you're probably rolling your eyes at me, thats ok I'm used to it, but stick with me.

"Anybody can sell it".

Correct. Anybody can sell Monat. That's the number one issue I had with Monat. But when you have a team of girls, and it has more then one hairstylist involved with Monat, these girls ask what our professinal opinions are, and what their family/friends should use fom their hair. Because everybodies hair is different!

I've been a stylist for 9 years. I've used EVERY PRODUCT under the sun. My favorites were Pureology and Redken. In December 2016 I started to learn about Monat from a girl I follow on Instagram, I started my research. Trying to research this product was hard, you could barely find any information on it. I reached out to a girl on Instagram who sold Monat, but unfortunately was never able to get a sample. In February 2017, my family friend and fellow hairstylist Lauren was one of the lucky ones to get a sample from someone. She was sold, but I still wasn't convinved yet because I hadn't gotten to try it. She signed up in May, and as soon as she got her box in she washed my hair with it! GAME CHANGER, I HATED IT! WHY? Because I was using Redken All Soft, which is a soften agency from your hair.

Two months go buy, Lauren texted me almost every week, until I was 100% honest with her and told her I hated it. She said "Sara, what were you using before?" I informed her, and she told me I was "DETOXING". Monat was removing all the build up on my hair that Redken, and all of the other products had put on there for years. So God love her, she gave me a system to use for an entire week. Three days later in July I signed up as a Market Partner with Monat, and I've never looked back.

It's now January 2018, I have a team of 33 beautiful women who TRUSTED me with their hair, purchased Monat, and have thrown away all of their old hair products. I've been using Monat for almost 7 months, and I can truly say, that I will NEVER use another product. My hair is healthier then it's ever been, it's so soft, I'm constantly getting compliments on my hair, and it's longer! Monat has truly saved my clients hair, and then been able to tell a huge difference after just 1-2 washes!

Here's what I use on my hair: Revive Shampoo, Revitalize Conditoner/Deep Smoothing Conditioner ( which on and off depending on how my hair feels), Replenish Masque once a week, to help protect my hair from these harsh Indiana winters. Rejuvabeads, to help mend an baby split ends I have. Side note, Rejuvabeads are not a band-aid for you hair, you still need to go get a haircut from your stylist every 6 weeks. Restore Leave-In Condtioner, I put this in my hair everyday when I get out of the shower. Blowout Cream, I put a pea size amount in my hair before I blow dry my hair, this helps reduce drying time, and has a heat protector so that you aren't damaging your hair with heat. Only for You Air Dry Cream, this was a free gift for our VIPs one month, it's truly amazing and I pray they introduce it into our other products that we can purchases. Refinish Control Hairspray, I use this when I curl my hair, it truly last ALL DAY. The Champ Dry Shampoo, this is my saving grace! Sometimes I don't want to wash my hair, or I workout before I go to work and I just don't have time to wash and dry my hair. This dry shampoo DOES NOT leave a whitr residue on your hair, it doesn't make my hair feel like I have an build up, and it smells great. Last but not least, the Rejuveniqe Oil, I personally don't put this on my hair, BUT, I do put it on my face, evey morning and every night.

The black and white photo, is my hair before Monat, healthy, but missing something. The other two pictures are my hair now, both pictures taken in the same day, two minutes apart from each other. In August, I cut my hair off to my collar bone, today, January 4, 2018, my hair is longer, strong, and healthier then it ever hair been before. That layer you see if FINALLY growing, and significantly longer then it ever has been.
